SK ELECTION 2015

WHEREAS, on 21 October 2014, the Commission on Elections (Commission) issued Resolution No. 9905 prescribing, among others, the calendar of activities and periods of prohibited acts for the February 21, 2015 Special Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Elections;

WHEREAS, in the said Resolution, election period is set from January 22, 2015 to March 02, 2015, and further described as “30 DAYS BEFORE ELECTION DAY AND 15 DAYS AFTER”;

WHEREAS, there is a need to clarify that the election period is 30 days before election day and 

9 days after, and not “30 days before election day and 15 days after”, to conform to the period 

of January 22, 2015 to March 02, 2015;

NOW, THEREFORE, the Commission by virtue of the powers conferred upon by it by the 

Constitution, the Omnibus Election Code and other election laws, has RESOLVED, as it hereby RESOLVES, to clarify that the election period for the February 21, 2015 Special Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Elections is 30 days before election day and 9 days after, and not “30 days before election day and 15 days after” to conform to the period of 22 January 2015 to 02 March 2015.

This Resolution shall take effect immediately.
