Lapu-Lapu students rolled out the red carpet during the visit of French PM Jean-Marc Ayrault. Flaglet-bearing pupils lined up the street leading towards the Lapu-Lapu Shrine to greet the French PM and his delegation.
Mayor Paz C. Radaza toured Ayrault around the Shrine. Instead of staying for only 30 minutes Ayrault stayed for an hour.
He went around twice. The first time was to visit the Lapu-Lapu and Magellan monuments. Then went around again to thank the children for the cultural performances that was scattered around the Shrine.
